Today, MSU ASB Amealco will be hosting a fund-raiser at Buffalo Wild Wings from 11am-2am. It's an all day event so people can stop in whenever. Attached is the flier. Please send this message across your list-serves and to your friends. Spread the word and SUPPORT YOUR FELLOW ASBers!!

In Amealco, we will be working with the Otomí, an indigenous group in the Mexican state of Querétaro. Like many indigenous groups, the Otomí been coerced into poverty through colonization. They continue to struggle with the many issues that poverty brings, such as malnutrition nd poor education. We will be tackling these issues as we work at Amealco’s primary school, where the student’s main source of food comes solely from the school. With limited finances, the school is only able to provide sub-nutritious meals.

We have started a clothing drive here for the children. They have about two outfits to wear daily. We are taking the clothes we have collected here to the kids in Amealco. They also have issues with sewage and plumbing. The sewage backs up in the playground where they play during recess.

Though our time in Amealco is only limited to a week, we hope that we will be able to help them as much as possible. As a group we are hoping to provide more nutritious meals during the week, fix their plumbing problem and leave a generous donation for them to use for the future.

Please stop in Monday, February 7, 2011 and support Bdubbs for Amealco. Mondays are $.55 Boneless Wings! We will be awarded 20% of net sales of food and alcohol. All you have to do is present the flier at the time of payment. Fliers can be picked up at 347 Students Services or in the Multicultural Center (MCC) in the basement of the MSU Union. The flier is valid for dine-in and take-out. Spread the word!

Cosi Fundraiser for ASB Little Rock and New York City

Tomorrow, Tuesday Feb 8th!

Help support Alternative Spring Break trips to Little Rock, AK and New York City!

We are two groups of passionate college students who have decided to dedicate their spring break to helping those who are in real need. The Little Rock trip will be working in a children's hospital, while the New Yorkers will work in a domestic violence and homeless shelter.

10% of all orders will go to assist these two trips in their efforts to make a difference in peoples' lives.
