Good Afternoon Folks!
I am sure you have heard it is predicted we are getting a billion feet of snow and we will all be snowed in for days...an exaggeration I'm putting on the over zealous media. As such, we will be canceling tonight's Site Leader Meeting. Plan on discussing logistical and trip coordination information at our next meeting, scheduled for Feb 8th. If you have questions or concerns please make an appointment during my Friday office hours.
However, please read this email carefully:
TRIP ITINERARY
Be advised that it is a university policy that we collect an itinerary for every trip. It needs to include estimated departure and arrival times, addresses and contact information of lodging and service sites (include housing en route), and a tentative agenda for your night out. I MUST have this in my hands no later than TUESDAY, February 22nd. However, I'm sure your participants, SSA, and especially your participant's parents would love a copy earlier.
Please contact your corresponding Development Chair for information regarding your service and housing agencies.

ADOPT-A-BREAKER
Is due Friday, February 4th to 345 Student Services. Join us to raise more than last year! (over $9000 from Adopt-A-Breaker in 2009-10!) Please email Danae Voss (vossdl@gmail.com) with the subject line 'Adopt-A-Breaker' if you have sent out letters so that she can maintain a complete list for Site Leaders.
FINAL PAYMENT
One hundred percent of the total program cost is due THIS FRIDAY -- February 4th. Payments can be made online [http://asb.msu.edu/] or via a personal check payable to 'MSU' brought to the Center for Service-Learning and Civic Engagement in Room 345 of Student Services during normal business hours. Please email asb.payment@gmail.com for questions regarding account balance.
DOMESTIC TRIPS:
On either Friday, March 4th or Saturday, March 5th you will be responsible for picking up the vehicles from Enterprise located at 2311 East Michigan Avenue, Lansing (just west of 127). We will coordinate a schedule with the Enterprise branch manager so that pick up goes smoothly. It will correspond with your estimated departure time from East Lansing.
You MUST return the vehicle vacuumed and at the fuel level you received it. My suggestion: make a note of the fuel level in your Financial Ledgers. For after hours drop off there is a key box where you can return the key once you have parked and locked the van. For staffed drop off simply park the vehicle and give the key to a Enterprise staff member.
INTERNATIONAL TRIPS:
We have chartered buses from (Student Services) East Lansing to Detroit Metro. Your participants or SSA have the option of being dropped off (and picked up) at the airport by family or a friend. If they choose this option ASB must have them complete a 'Liability Waiver.' I will have copies at an upcoming meeting. Site Leaders--you will be responsible for ensuring all your participants make it to the bus for their flight. As such, please plan to ride the bus from East Lansing to DTW and plan accordingly.
Once at the airport you will typically be allowed to do 'Group Check In' (depends on the airline staff). We will be sending out detailed flight information as soon as our Travel Agent forwards it our way!
Most important: you can use the miles accrued from this ASB trip for your personal SkyMiles! WOO WOO!!
Remember to come see me during my Friday office hours if you have any questions or concerns! Contact Emily, Bailey, or Liz for questions concerning service or housing. Have a wonderful week!!
Stay warm, stay safe!
